Armed Men Abduct Musician While Appearing on New Vision Outlet Interview

Eight men mysteriously appeared, surrounded him and the television, crew grabbed him by the collar and bundled him into a waiting car

Eight armed men on Saturday afternoon on First Street, Industrial Area, grabbed a local musician known by stage name Badman School Fees and whisked him to an unknown facility.

The local artist who was picked from the New Vision premises was being interviewed by Vision Group’s Bukedde TV reporters.

During the interview, Badman School Fees alleged that local artist, Gereson Wabuyi, better known by his stage name Gravity Omutujju, stole lyrics of his song Balance The Boat and consequently released the song. The hit has been playing on airwaves across the country.

There have been accusations and counter-accusations amongst the two musicians feuding over the song in recent weeks. Each artist has addressed separate interviews in both local print and television media and claimed ownership.

During the interview, eight men mysteriously appeared, surrounded him and the television crew, grabbed him by the collar and bundled him into a waiting car, a silver Toyota Premio registration number UAK 600B, and drove away to an unknown location.

Routinely during operations, security personnel use different number plates to disguise identity.

“I was interviewing him then the armed men came and grabbed him and asked me not to film the incident,”  Farooq Sekakozi, a Bukedde TV journalist told New Vision.

Badman School Fees colleagues rushed to Jinja Road Police Station to report a case of kidnap and authorities at the Police station were recording statements from the pair by press time
