It seems as though Arsenal are ready to push through this summer to try and strike a deal with Atletico.

Partey has a release clause of £44million and the Spanish outfit are only interested in a straight-cash deal.

Arteta may be forced to sell in order to raise enough funds to meet Atletico’s demands. But Sofapaka striker Ronald Okoth believes Arsenal must do everything they can to get a deal over the line.

“I surely think he Partey is the right man for Arsenal because if you analyse the club now, it really requires an engine like Partey,” Okoth told Goal.

“If at all they [Arsenal and Partey] would come to an agreement, it is going to be the best signing made by Arsenal. Looking at the kind of defensive woes and all that, I think Partey is a man to bring some kind of stability across the board.
