Buganda Has Never Chased Me from BBS TV Over Wassajja – Lutamaguzi Blasts Critics saying Kabaka Fired Him

Hon.Paul Lutamaguzi Ssemakula teh MP Nakaseke South has dismissed all claims that he was ealier suspended from appearing from any Buganda media platforms over allegations that he instructed the Kabaka on handling his younger brother over the recent fateful boat accident in which Prince Wassja was a survivor.

Rumors circulated on social media that the Nakaseke South legislator had commanded the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II to caution his young brother Prince David Wassajja’s conduct after he was involved in a boat tragedy that almost claimed his life.

Its well known that ordering the Kabaka to do something is against the norms of Buganda kingdom. However In a telephone conversation with this website, Hon. Lutamaguzi said that all  rumors circulating around social media were fake and he distanced him self from them since they were baseless.

“I want you to ask for the authenticity of the letter or audio that proves those claims, even Mr. Dustan the talk show host at BBS called me yesterday inquiring as to why I was no longer attending to his program and I told him that I could come just that I was still busy with other schedules especially in my constituency and the fact that I had a new show I had started at NBS the Eagle every Sunday,It was difficult to fix time for that show at BBS. I wasn’t served any letter to stop me and as far as I know I still have the all rights to go anywhere I want.Social media is a problem and you journalists should be careful about social media posts. Like last time I saw posts that Bagyenda is dead and I wondered.

So I call upon the government to put some regulations on social media to avoid the same things in future. I am a subject of Buganda and I am a Kabaka man. The  Kabaka is in London for a wedding and actually I had been invited to attend but I didn’t make it. You know people are always willing do anything to destroy your business and TV is a business that many are willing want to step on you,” Hon. Lutamaguzi said.

Last week rumors emerged that a directive had been passed on to both CBS FM stations and BBS-Telefina not to host Hon. Lutamaguzi until further notice, but have the rumors were confirmed by reliable stake holders as baseless and not true and when this website contacted the TV program host Mr. Danstun Busulwa for clarity on whether he received such a directive,he said he wasn’t in position to comment.
