A section of Forum For Democratic Change Delegates in Teso Sub Region have on Thursday Afternoon held a leavers Party for the Ex- FDC Party President and the leader of New Formation Group Gen. Mugisha Muntu.
Tom Julius Ekudo the chairperson of the organizing committee while speaking to journalists in Soroti FDC off said the party is organized to wish Gen. Muntu well in his new movement. The activities of the included; Ram Roasting, Cleaning of the FDC office which delegates claim has been covered Muntu’s dirt.
At least the district most top leader including the Party Chairperson John Enomu, District Secretary Johnathan Ebwalu among others are confirmed to be working with Muntu’s new Movement.
Teso MPs who are said to be working with Muntu even though they have repeatedly distanced themselves in subsquent interviews include: Angelina Osege Soroti WMP, Hebert Ariko Soroti Municipality and Elijah Okupa Kasilo County. According to Ekudo, there is no cause of alarm that Muntu has left the party because he while in FDC failed to mobilize support for the party. He revealed that, Muntu is failed leader who doesnt focus in development.
He also accused Muntu for being a mole who left the party earlier in 2009. “Muntu is not quiting FDC today but he left FDC way back in 2009″, He said. While spearing words for Former Party Secretary General Alice Alaso, Ekudo accused her of not being patient and result oriented. ” The little i can say about Alaso is she is power hungry”, He added. Sarah Eperu the FDC party President Aide said, her together with the party members in Teso are not worried because they were aware of the outcome. ”
Alaso left FDC in 2011 and Muntu in 2009, so we are not worried at any second”, The Outspoken Eperu said. Daniel Eigu the LCIII Kamuda Sub County in Soroti district commended Muntu for Quiting the country’s main opposition party. ”
Its now the Genuine FDC members who have remained”, without kind words for the district party leaders who have joined Muntu’s movement the said, the said members have for long worked for NRM. But when Contacted for a comment John Enomu the current FDC leader who is also on spot for joining Muntu camp without handing over office said he was not aware of the function being organized in the district.
He also said, he was still a serving member of FDC and hasn’t reached a decision to quite the country’s biggest opposition party.
