FORTEBET AIDES KIYINDI FISHERMEN WITH LIFE JACKETS

Fortebet, Uganda’s biggest betting company over the weekend donated tens of life jackets to fishermen and other water users at Kiyindi landing site in Buikwe district. This donation came just one week after Fortebet donated the same items to fishermen at Kigungu landing site. The handover has presided over by Fortebet’s Media Manager, John Nanyumba on Saturday.

According to the fishermen, this donation came as a very big relief because they are always at constant battles with water authorities for not wearing lifejackets. “I want to deeply thank Fortebet for these like jackets. Every now and then, we are running away from water authorities because it is illegal to enter the waters without a life jacket. However, it is not that we stubbornly do not want to wear them, but because they are expensive,” Fred Makubuya, one of the life jackets recipients said.

Talking to the fishermen, Nanyumba said, “We are concerned about the live of every Ugandan. This is the reason we are here to give you life insurance while you are on the waters. Fortebet is well aware of the many deaths that happen on our water bodies, largely due to not wearing life jackets. Today, Fortebet has brought them to you and free of charge.”

Away from life jackets, Fortebet also appreciated its clients at its Kiyindi branch. Here, Fortebet gave out phones, club jerseys, T-shirts, caps, bodaboda reflector jackets among others, just like it did at Lugazi, Namawojjolo and Mbikko.

This weekend, Fortebet will gift bettors at Kisaasi and Kamwokya. Don’t miss, be there!
