Frank Mwesigwa Speaks Out: “I am not under arrest, I am free. I am here in my village”

Former Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander now Tourism Board Boss Frank Mwesigwa has dismissed reports of his arrest saying he is enjoying his time as head of the Tourism Police.

Early on Saturday while Speaking to NBS Press on phone Mwesigwa said he is in the village (which he didn’t disclose), preparing to attend a local function.

“I am free. I am here in my village. So it is not true that I am under arrest otherwise how would I talk to you?”

Mwesigwa had earlier tweeted:  “I am neither in hiding nor under any arrest as rumoured on social media platforms and page 3 of today’s New vision.”

However earlier on our desk had learnt that the Former KMP Boss was involved on run off with army operatives few days later after his former Boss Kale Kayihura was arrested from his Lyantonde Farm along Mbarara Kampala Highway.
