The General Court Martial hearing yesterday concluded that it has collected enough evidence to pin Abdallah Kitatta, the 2010 Boda Boda patron on charges of unlawful possession of firearms
A one Maj. Raphael Mugisha who was part of the prosecuting team told court that the testimonies so far clearly point out that Kitatta has a case to answer.
“All the ingredients of the offence have been proved by evidence on record and the testimonies of the witnesses are consistent, truthful and have been credible. The submission by the counsel for the accused that the accused persons have no case to answer is misconceived and based on misdirection, speculation and not on principles of evidence and the application should be dismissed. We pray that you find the accused with a case to answer and be put to their defence. We so pray’,” Mugisha said.
Kitatta and 12 others face five counts relating to unlawful possession of firearms, ammunition and military gear.chief
Its remembered in the police early days of Kittata’s arrest, rumors pointed it out that Kitata worked closely with former police Chief Kale Kayihura.Add your comments:
