Gulu Court issues criminal summons against Mwiru,Karuhanga for missing case hearing over Arua33 case

Today’s morning the Gulu Magistrate’s court sat for the hearing of the treason charges against the #Arua 33 then now #Arua 34 (after addition of Bobi Wines Body guard Ediie Mutwe).

However Members of Parliament Gerald Karuhanga and Paul Mwiru has have been summoned on grounds that they failed to turn up for the mention of the case today.

The  two legislators happen to be part of the Arua 33 who are accused of throwing stones at President Museveni’s convoy in Arua in August during the bi-election after the fateful murder of the MP Ibrahim Abiriga..

After Mwiru and Karuhanaga failed to appear for the case hearing, Gulu grade one magistrate, Isaac Kintu immediately issued criminal summons against them.

Earlier, the state prosecutor, Paul Wekonde had asked court for an adjournment since investigations into the matter have not been concluded.
