BY: Eyalama In Business On

Kyambogo University has left the nation in shock after it has emerged  that students attend lectures while seated on the dirty floor of their classes.

It is not yet clear whether this is a case of congestion leading to excess numbers of students compared to the number of chairs in a lecture room,  or the University just lacks enough furniture.

Insider sources however have it that almost every department has students attending lectures either while standing or sitting on the dirty floor.

Worst affected is the literature class, where majority of the students are seated on the floor. The class of 150 students has 60 seats meaning over 90 students have lectures either standing or siting on the floor

A lecturer at the University who preferred anonymity narrates; “We are used, I have personally moved to offices about this matter but all in vain. If we have endured this for the past two years, why not these few months left?”
