Liverpool reportedly have lined up five summer transfer targets with more January business unlikely.
The Reds have already snapped up Takumi Minamino in a £7.25m deal from RB Salzburg, with the Japan international making his debut against Everton on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp is reluctant to spend big in January with his side on course to end their long wait for the Premier League title.
But a number of long-term targets have been identified ahead of the summer transfer window and beyond.
And heading that list is England star Jadon Sancho, whose future at Borussia Dortmund remains unclear, reports Goal.
Sancho continues to be linked with a return to English football, with Chelsea and Manchester United leading the chase.
But Klopp is an admirer and the opportunity to work for the German could put Liverpool in a commanding position.
Dortmund insist Sancho will be going nowhere this month but a move could be on the cards in the summer.
Liverpool are also said to be keen on Sevilla defender Diego Carlos, who is a target for Real Madrid .
The Brazilian, who has a £64m release clause, joined the La Liga side from Nantes in May and has impressed so far this term.
Klopp is also a fan of Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey as he looks to add depth in the attacking areas for next term.
Liverpool have been keeping tabs on two teenagers too, in Sandro Tonali and Joe Gelhardt.
Tonali, 19, made his international debut for Italy in November after catching the eye with Brescia.
Wigan forward Gelhardt has been impressing a little closer to home with a number of Premier League sides monitoring his progress.***Reader Notice***: If you are facing scrolling difficulties please kindly clear your cookies and cache for this website
