Mp Nsubuga’s body guards shoot man in kasanda

Police in kasanda is investigating circumstances under which the body guards of the area member of parliament Simeon Nsubuga shot and injured people in the area.

One of the shot victim has been identified as Victim Saadi Semaganda 32 and a resident of bukoba village, Nalutuntu Sub County in kasanda district.

ASP Nobert Ochom the public relations officer wamala region told us that the incident happened last night and the case of shooting was reported at kakungube police station.

Ochom added that the victim was shot twice in the neck and was first rushed to mityana Hospital before being transferred to mulago where he is currently being admitted.


Our sources at  kasanda police station  told us that Saadi Semaganda was shot after trying to attack MP Simeo Nsubuga who had wanted to shield investor Alam Abid from Asia who is trying to grab and steal land worth five square miles for  his sugarcane growing business.

Our insider sources added that the Asian investor started the process of grabbing the land in 2006 but residents have been battling him until the investor connived with Nsubuga to grab the land.

However when contacted Nsubuga said  that Saadi who was shot tried to disarm his body guard as he (MP) was trying solve the land conflict in the area/

“I don’t know the reason why this man wanted to disarm my body guard,” said Nsubuga
