MTN’s former CEO, Mr Wim Vanhelleputte was deported for meeting other recently deported MTN employees contrary to an agreement between him and government. This has been revealed by government spokesperson, Mr Ofwono Opondo, who says Vanhelleputte had disregarded conditions set in the wake of an ongoing investigation into the alleged involvement of some MTN employees in activities that compromised national security.
