- The speculations about Neymar returning to La Liga started just almost after he joined PSG with new bits of information appearing regularly.
- In a recent interview with Canal Plus, he addressed the rumours of him joining Real Madrid in the future which is something that seems impossible to most.
- Neymar pointed to the fact that these talks are always going on but at the moment there is nothing concrete to talk about.
- He promised to share the news with everyone if something will change in the future.
Neymar addressed the speculations of him joining Real Madrid instead of Barcelona in light of the neverending talks about his future:
“There is always speculation about me. Ever since I became a professional footballer there has always been speculation that I would quit other clubs, but there is nothing concrete. As soon as there is something definitive, be reassured, I will tell everyone.”
Neymar’s always surrounded by transfer rumours, and there’s just nothing that can be done about it – the Brazillian is wanted by many clubs – Real Madrid included. Now, finally, it seems that PSG will have to sell either him or Mbappe to fix their Financial Fair Play issues with UEFA.
Now back to Neymar: the Brazillian striker wanted to leave the Nou Camp to escape Lionel Messi’s shadow and force a name for himself as one of the best players on the planet.
He did not win the Ballon d’Or in 2018, however, and there are reports he could soon quit Paris. According to Spanish newspaper AS, Neymar’s release clause in 2020 will be set at £143m (€160m).
There are persistent rumblings that Neymar himself is keen on a switch back to Barca, however, Real Madrid still looks like a very likely destination. Real Madrid have not signed a Galactico for a number of years and Neymar’s arrival would likely herald the next generation of superstar signings.
