Paul Pogba transfer: Juventus won’t take no for an answer As United Star ‘agrees £350,000-a-week deal’ With Barcelona
Manchester United’s fight to keep Paul Pogba will go right to the wire, with club legend Rio Ferdinand backing the Reds to win it — and then sign Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld.
Juventus want to take the World Cup-winning Frenchman back to Turin, where he helped them to four league titles, two Italian Cups and a place in the Champions League Final. But in a public message to the Old Trafford giants‘ executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, Ferdinand urged his former club to stay strong.
The former United star tweeted: “Don’t you dare allow this ED… #MUFC is Pogba’s home!! Silence these rumours ASAP & get @AlderweireldTob through the door.”

Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, remains determined to get the superstar midfielder out of Old Trafford for a second time in six years.
United have so far dismissed interest from Spanish champions Barcelona and insist there is no way Pogba will be sold — not least because they have no time to find a replacement before Thursday’s 5pm transfer deadline.
But Italian title holders Juventus, who have already landed Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in an incredible deal this summer, are not willing to admit defeat.
It is two years since Pogba rejoined United from Juve for a then world-record £89million. His relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, however, is at an all-time low.
Bosnia & Herzegovina international midfielder Miralem Pjanic is among the players that could be used as part of a cash-plus-player deal.
Pogba returned to pre-season training at United on Monday, but is known to be open to a move away.
