Photos: UPDF Promoted Senior Officers Decoration Ceremony

The Uganda people’s Defence Forces has today decorated more than 200 army officers who were recently promoted by president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Those who have been decorated with three stars as Lt Generals include; the first son Lt Gen Muhooozi Kainerugaba, Lt Gen Charles Lutaaya the commander of air Force, Lt Gen Peter Elweru the commander of land forces, others are Lt Gen Pecos Kuteesa, Lt Gen John Mugume among others

Those who have been decorated with two stars as Major Generals include; Maj Gen Samuel Kawagga the commander of first division, Maj Gen Elly Kayanja, Maj Gen Samuel Wasswa, Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeei the deputy inspector General of police, Maj Gen Don Nabasa the commander of the Special forces Command, Gen Leopold Kyanda among others .

Among the decorated Brigadiers with one star include Brig Adolf Sserwadda, Brig Emmy L Mulindwa, Brig Moses Shaban Lukyamuzi and more others

The colorful decoration ceremony was held at UPDF headquarters in Mbuya. State minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs; Bright Rwamira, the minister of internal Affairs Gen J J Odongo, the minister of security Gen Elly Tumwine and Gen Katumba Wamala the state minister of Works attended the ceremony.

However Lt Gen Proscovia Nalweyiso has missed today’s decoration.
