Rescue Mission Ends with no more bodies but “beer bottles” ,wallets and ATM Cards

Police and UPDF respectively have announced the end of the operation to retrieve bodies of people who drowned in Lake Victoria.

Today’s afternoon, the remains of the wreckage of the boat was dragged to the lake shores before divers went inside the vessel to search for any dead bodies or valuable items.

Pumps were later used to empty the boat of water that had entered due to holes on its keel.

However, more items including beer bottles, wallets and ATM cards were recovered by divers from the scene of the Saturday accident.

Frantic efforts by divers to look for any bodies still trapped under water proved futile.
