UCE results to be released tomorrow (Friday)

Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will tomorrow on Friday July 30 release the results of the 2020 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams. Officials from UNEB yesterday briefed the Minister for Education and Sports, First Lady Janet Museveni about the students’ performance.

The results will be released by Minister Janet Museveni at scientific event in observance of the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and it’s expected to start at 12pm. The event will take place at State House Nakasero.

According to UNEB, more than 330,000 students sat for their senior four UCE exams last year. This will be the second set of 2020 national examination results released by the national examinations body.
 A total of 333,889 candidates registered for 2020 UCE from 3,935 examination centres. Out of these 49.8 per cent were male and 50.1 per cent were female.

At total of 148,135 of the candidates are under the Universal Secondary Education (USE) while 185,754 candidates are Non-USE.
