Uganda Police Band Commander Josephine Kakoza Dies

Uganda Police Force has Wednesday morning lost Senior Police Commissioner Josephine Kakooza who has been the force’s band commander.

According to police sources, Kakooza passed on from a clinic in Mukono where she had been rushed after suffering a hypertension attack.

Kakooza has been the only remaining veteran officer serving in the police force after her contract was extended by president Museveni.

She was among the first Ugandan women to join the police force during the post-colonial era in 1969.
