There was a setback in the preparations for the Kigali Summer Fest, that was scheduled for the evening of, July 27, as one of the main acts, Sheebah Karungi, pulled out just a few moments to the show.

In an Instagram post on her page, Sheebah noted with regret the sudden changes that have been made, and she said that it was something beyond her her control and there is nothing she could do about it.

“We are really sorry to inform you that we will not be performing at Kigali Summer Fest 2019 scheduled for  July 27, at Camp Kigali due to unforeseen circumstances,’’ she said.

She went on to say, “However, the promoter has done all he could but all in vain. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you again at the next scheduled Kigali Summer Fest.”

Since the Kigali Summer Fest is set to be an annual event, there is much hope that the artist will be around for next year’s edition especially after making it clear that she will try to be available for the next scheduled event of the same nature.

Sheebah is known by many on the Rwandan music scene after her songs, which include Embeera Zo, and Binkolera that she did with Bruce Melody and The Ben respectively. This is a developing story ….more to follow.
