Bobi Wine is currently in the US for medical treatment following his violent arrest in Arua on August 13 in which he has accused soldiers of the presidential guard under the Special Forces Command of torturing him while in military detention.

He and 32 others including 4 Members of Parliament were charged with treason weeks ago over the alleged stoning of President Yoweri Museveni’s convoy.

The youthful legislator has become a world phenomenon ever since his arrest with several international groups condemning the Ugandan government for harassing the MP and his group.

Mr Robert Amsterdam Bobi Wine’s international lawyers from the London based Amsterdam & Partners also earlier announced the legislator will speak to the World Media on Thursday.

Amsterdam who joined Bobi Wine’s legal team upon his arrest on August 13 in Arua said Wednesday, September 5 that the Ugandan MP will speak at Washington based National Press Club at 10 AM US time (around 5 PM Ugandan time).
